My research group is dedicated to the chemical Syntheses of rationally designed biopolymers (DNA/RNA/Protein) and their conformational studies by NMR and CD, before studying of their biochemical applications. Our laboratory has an excellent facility to synthesize the modified DNA/RNA building block of DNA/RNA (Phosphoramidites), unnatural Peptidomimics. With these building blocks, the syntheses of modified oligonucleotides (by oligo-synthesizer) and peptides (manually) are being practiced by group members. These oligonucleotides/peptides analogues are being employed in biochemical studies such as DNA oligonucleotides for Antigen candidates, RNA oligonucleotides (siRNA/miRNA) for Antisense/RNAi effect, and peptide for inhibitor of DNA-protein/protein-interaction. In end, group researchers are gaining admirable training to generate DNA/RNA/Peptides based potential therapeutic drug candidates.
